Quilts

When people request a quilt they specify what themes they like and dislike and we then use squares that fit in with one of those themes in the hope that it will be more personal and likable for them.

Usually each quilt has 18 cross-stitched squares but sometimes this differs if the squares have been stitched as a member’s SAL; sets of squares or a series of patterns that the members have chosen to stitch together.

Occasionally we also make smaller quilts.  If we know that it is going to someone who uses a wheel chair frequently and who wants a quilt for being out in the cold we will make it slightly smaller so that it doesn't drag along the ground or get caught in the front wheels.
