Square
Sizing
The smallest size square we accept is 6” x 6” other than as long as we have at least 2” around the design we can use it!
If you have a specific pattern in mind that you would like to stitch you can use the following guidelines to figure out how big a piece of material you will need:
To calculate how much material you will need for a design: Divide the stitch count of your design by the count of your material and then add two or three inches. For example.
Design = 50 stitches by 60 Material = 14 count
Take the biggest stitch measurement of the design. In this case it is 60 stitches 60 divided by 14 count = 4.2 inches Round up to nearest inch which = 5 (always round up to next inch, never round the numbers down!)
Then 5 inches plus 4 inches (two inches either side) = 9 inches
Your material should be 9 inches square for this design. Alternatively if you wish you cut out a set size square this table can be used to see roughly what size pattern you can stitch on it.
